Founded in 1946, NENU was selected as one of the first group of universities given priority in construction in the '211 Project'. NENU is located in Changchun city, the “City of Eternal Spring”, whose enchanting landscape occupies a total area of 1,670,000 square meters.  And in 2004, NENU was approved to establish the graduate school by the Ministry of Education. There are 26,201 full-time students, including 14,380 bachelor degree students, 10,945 Master and Doctoral degree candidates and 876 international students. NENU has two campuses, comprising 23 schools, 78 undergraduate specialties, 185 Master degree majors and 75 Doctoral degree majors. In all, NENU has all the 11 disciplines except for Military Science and Medicine.Six disciplines of NENU, Marxism, world history, mathematics, chemistry, statistics, materials science and engineering, have been selected into the 'Double First-rate' construction disciplines in 2017.
