ABOUT GCU
Guangzhou College of South China University of Technology (GCU) is a higher education institution founded in 2005 with approval of the Ministry of Education of China. It is a multidisciplinary institution focusing on undergraduate education in engineering, sciences, economics, management, humanities and arts. With the mission of cultivating application-oriented talents, GCU has set up 15 academic schools and 40 undergraduate programs, with over 22,600 students and nearly 1,000 academic staff.


POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMS WITH SCUT
In 2018, GCU started to collaborate with South China University of Technology to cultivate postgraduate students. In 2020, the collaborated postgraduate programs include: Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering & Architecture, and Finance.

2) International Accreditation
11 business programs of 3 business schools are accredited by IACBE (International Accreditation Council for Business Education), making GCU the First university in China with IACBE accreditation.

3) Well-equipped Facilities
14 experimental centers and 239 laboratories, and 433 work and internship sites in engineering, sciences, business and art design enable students to study hands-on skills and knowledge through experiments  and  simulation.  Students also have access to Maker Space in the campus to work with their fellows for mass innovation and startup career. GCU covers an area of 283 acres with beautiful lakes, green hills and agreeable weather, enjoying the  reputation as "the most beautiful campus in Guangzhou". Well-equipped classrooms, dorms, canteens, and sports facilities provide students and faculty with a satisfying environment to study and live in.

4) Internationlized Education
GCU values educational internationalization and has established various collaborations with over 60 universities from USA, Canada, UK, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Spain, France, Australia, Singapore, Japan, Malaysia, etc. Every year hundreds of students participate in various exchange or international cooperation programs under cooperation to study abroad.
Diverse international exchange opportunities are offered, along with academic programs including Credit Transfer (2+2/3+1), Linkage to Postgraduate (3+1+1), One-semester Exchange, Short-term Academic & Cultural Exchange, Summer / Winter Camps.
International teaching and learning atmosphere at GCU are contributed by faculty team of native English-speaking instructors, academic teachers from partner universities abroad and Chinese teachers with oversea educational background, as well as students from Southeast Asia and West Europe enjoying English or bilingual teaching in International Business School, Engineering Projects and Chinese Language.
