Founded in 1912, Nantong University (NTU) is a comprehensive university jointly built by the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government and the National Department of Transportation, ranking the top 122 in China University Evaluation of 2019 by the Chinese Academy of Management Sciences, the top 111 in ESI on Comprehensive Ranking of Chinese Universities and the top 100 Chinese universities by Cuaa.net.

NTU is composed of 20 schools, one independent college (Xinglin College), a large comprehensive and affiliated hospital, School of International Education and School of Extended Education. Among them, 4 disciplines of Clinical Medicine, Neuroscience and Behavior, Engineering, Pharmacology and Toxicology rank the top 1% of ESI disciplines in the world.
