Changzhou Institute of Industry Technology (CZIIT), whose former name is Changzhou Institute of Light Industry, is a full-time general vocational college under the administration of the Department of Education of Jiangsu Province. It is a demonstrative vocational institute of Jiangsu. CZIIT was established in 1958, has 8 secondary major teaching schools—School of Environmental Engineering; School of Modern Equipment manufacturing; School of Intelligent Control; School of Economic and Trade Management; School of Information Engineering; School of Tourism and Culinary Art; School of Art Creativity; School of Rail Transit Engineering, containing 51 majors.
In 2019, the institute was selected as one of the institutes with “Top Fifty of Educational Achievements" and "Top Fifty of International Influence".
At present, the institute has more than 10,000 full-time students, including almost 400 international students from more than 30 different countries. The college has "the Tajikistan Study Center", “OBOR Central-Asian Study Center" and "SANRUN Burmese Talents Training Base ". In 2019,the institute was awarded as“Jiangsu Provincial Advanced Collective of Education of International Students”.
