Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (BUCEA) is the only architecture-oriented institute of higher education in Beijing. Jointly sponsored by the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of China, BUCEA has a total of 10,845 enrolled students, including 7,713 full-time undergraduates, 2,318 graduate students, 56 PhD students, 766 adult education students, and 132 international students. BUCEA has been equipped with more than 100 professors, including Yangtze River Scholar, talent with the title of “Top 100 Leading Personnel for High-tech Beijing” and Great Wall Scholar. At present, there are 6 national-level first-class professional construction majors, 3 national-level characteristic majors, 2 key construction first-class majors, 3 Beijing-level first-rate professional construction majors, and 7 Beijing characteristic majors. In addition, BUCEA now boasts 26 ministerial-and provincial-level laboratories and Beijing Advanced Innovation Center for Future Urban Design. BUCEA has evolved into “Beijing Talents Training and Scientific Service Base for Urban Planning, Construction and Management”, “Beijing Research and Talent Training Base for Climate Change Studies”, “National Research and Talent Training Base for Architectural Heritage Protection” and “Belt and Road Architectural University International Consortium (BRAUIC). All undergraduate and graduate programs of BUCEA are open to international students and BUCEA provides “Overseas Students Scholarship of Beijing Municipal Government”, “Road and Belt Scholarship” and “Belt and Road National Talent Development Scholarship”to outstanding students.
