The International students’ education in our university could be traced back to 1998 when the first batch of International students were enrolled. In October 2013, the College of International Education (CIE for short) was established. It has admitted more than 1,000 international students since its establishment. It now offers both Chinese bachelor and master programs and an English program in “International Economics and Trade”.
CIE is conveniently located near the 2008 Olympic Park. It’s next to the famous Bird’s Nest and Water Cube. There is a large shopping center, banks and restaurants nearby. In the dormitory building, each room can be shared by two students with a TV set, free Wi-Fi and a private bathroom.
CIE is responsible for overseas students' education, international cooperation projects’ development, Chinese language training and other relevant skills training. All the bachelor and master degree programs are open to International students.
In addition, CIE provides many chances to experience China outside the classroom. Chinese culture seminars such as Tai-chi, calligraphy, painting are offered to CIE students. What’s more, our students are organized to visit famous tourist attractions such as the Great Wall, the Summer Palace and so on. We also encourage students to participate in competitions such as Chinese Language Star Contest to enhance their practice of what they learn.
