三峡大学简介
三峡大学由原武汉水利电力大学（宜昌）和原湖北三峡学院于合并组建。学校办学历史可以追溯至1923年，分别于1978年和1996年开始本科和研究生教育。学校具有博士学位授予权，具有招收中国政府奖学金来华留学生资格、本科临床医学专业MBBS（英语授课）来华留学生资格，招收港澳台侨学生资格。
学校由国家水利部和湖北省人民政府共建，入选“卓越工程师教育培养计划”。学校被省政府批准建设国内一流大学和一流学科。目前，学校已成为水利电力特色与优势比较明显、综合办学实力较强、享有一定社会声誉的综合性大学。
学校贯彻开放办学方针，广泛开展国际交流。学校是“联合国学术影响力” (UNAI) 组织成员,“世界高校联盟”（N.E.W.S.）常设秘书处, 已与60多个国家和地区的170余所高校建立了合作关系。学校是湖北省属高校中招收留学生人数、专业设置和英语授课规模最大的高校，设有汉语水平考试（HSK）考点。学校是教育部“来华留学示范基地”建设单位, 国家留学基金管理委员会“优本项目”和“丝路之路奖学金”项目高校，通过国家来华留学质量认证,现有来华留学生1400余人。学校尼泊尔研究中心入选教育部备案，响应国家“一带一路”倡议，开展国别与区域研究。成功承办了“留动中国”、“世界著名科学家来鄂讲学计划•武汉论坛”等活动。
A Brief Introduction of CTGU
Having been approved by the Ministry of Education of China, China Three Gorges University (CTGU) comprises the former Wuhan University of Hydraulic and Electric Engineering/Yichang and the former Hubei Sanxia College. The history of CTGU can be traced back to 1923, while the undergraduate and postgraduate education started from 1978 and 1996 respectively. CTGU has the qualification to confer the doctor’s degree, to accept international students under Chinese government scholarship from China Scholarship Council (CSC), and to accept international students into undergraduate English medium program of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)and to accept Chinese students from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and other countries in the world.
CTGU is a university jointly constructed by the Ministry of Water Resources and the Hubei Provincial Government. CTGU is approved as one of the universities for “Education Plan for Future Outstanding Engineers” CTGU was enlisted by the Hubei Provincial Government in the construction planning of domestic first-class universities and first-class disciplines. CTGU is now a comprehensive university endowed with prominent hydraulic and electrical advantages, solid foundation of education and well-known social reputation.
CTGU, adhering to the principle of promoting development through opening up, organizes wide range of international cooperation and communication. It is the member of United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) and the Standing Secretariat of Global University Network (N.E.W.S.). CTGU has established cooperative relationships with more than 170 universities from more than 60 countries. CTGU, with more than 1400 international students currently, is a major destination in Hubei Province for international students and provides the largest scale of English medium education activities. A Mandarin Proficiency Test (HSK) center is officially established in CTGU. The University, one of the Demonstration Bases for International Students’ Education in China, is authorized in both aspects to send Chinese students abroad and to accept international students under CSC scholarships. Under the implement of Belt and Road Initiative of China, promoting studies on international and regional issues, the Nepal Study Institute of CTGU has been approved by the Ministry of Education. Moreover, international activities such as Tour-study in China and Forums of World Renowned Scientists Lecturing in Hubei Province were successfully hosted by China Three Gorges University regularly.
