湖南师范大学简介
湖南师范大学创建于1938年,位于历史文化名城长沙,是国家“211工程”重点建设的大学,国家“双一流”建设高校,教育部与湖南省重点共建“双一流”建设高校,教育部普通高等学校本科教学工作水平评估优秀高校,湖南省“世界一流学科建设高校”。学校现有7个校区,占地2744余亩,建筑面积131余万平方米。主校区西偎麓山,东濒湘江,风光秀丽,是全国绿化“400佳”单位之一。
学校设有24个学院,现招生本科专业87个,本科和研究生教育覆盖哲学、经济学、法学、教育学、文学、历史学、理学、工学、医学、管理学、艺术学等11大学科门类。拥有21个博士学位授权一级学科、教育博士专业学位授权点、34个硕士学位授权一级学科和24种硕士专业学位类别,以及20个博士后科研流动站;
学校现有专任教师2020余人。学校先后同46个国家和地区的192所大学和机构建立合作与交流关系,开展人员交流、教学和科研合作,并分别与俄罗斯喀山联邦大学、韩国圆光大学、美国南犹他大学共建孔子学院;与俄罗斯下诺夫哥罗德国立格林卡音乐学院、英国中央兰开夏大学、美国特拉华大学、德国柏林媒体设计学院、美国圣约瑟夫大学开展中外合作办学项目。
学校图书馆藏书400余万册,其中古籍22万余册,订购各类文献数据库113个。学校主办14种公开发行的学术期刊,其中全国中文核心期刊7种;学校出版社为“全国百佳图书出版单位”,国家一级出版社。
建校以来,学校已为国家输送毕业生50余万人,培养了一大批国际学生和港澳台学生,校友遍布海内外。在校学生4万余人,其中研究生1万余人,长短期国际学生近1200人,已形成多规格、多层次的办学格局。

Founded in 1938, Hunan Normal University (HNNU) is now located in Changsha, a city famous for its long history and rich culture.
It was admitted into the “Project of 100 Key Universities in the 21st Century” (the 211 Project), and is now listed as a
“Double First Rate” university to be constructed jointly by China’s Ministry of Education (MoE) and Hunan Provincial Government.
In the assessment of undergraduate teaching conducted by MoE,it was graded A. With 7 campuses, it covers a total area of 180 hectares and boasts a floor area of over 1,190,000 m2.
Lying between the Yuelu Mountain on the west and the Xiang River on the east, the major campus is so picturesque as to be rated as one of the 400 best afforested units in China.
HNNU consists of 24 colleges and runs altogether 83 undergraduate disciplines, which fall into such 11 main categories as philosophy, economics, law, education, literature,
history, science, technology, agriculture, medicine, management and art. 21 of its first-level disciplines are permitted to offer doctoral programs, one to offer a professional doctoral program,
37 of its first-level disciplines to offer masters'programs and 21 to offer professional masters'programs. Besides, it possesses 18 research stations for post-doctors.
HNNU has a faculty of over 1,850, and has set up partnerships with 184 universities and institutions in 45 countries and regions to push forward student and staff exchanges,
and cooperation in teaching and scientific research. It has co-established Confucius Institutes with Kazan Federal University in Russia, Wonkwang University in South Korea
and Southern Utah University in the U.S. respectively, and has Chinese-Foreign Cooperatively-Run Educational Projects with M.I. Glinka Nizhny Novgorod State Conservatory of Russia,
University of Central Lancashire of the U. K. and Delaware University of the U.S..
HNNU Library has a collection of over 4 million volumes, among which are over 220,000 thread-bound ancient books. It subscribes to over 103 bibliographic databases. In addition,
HNNU runs a state-level first-class press (one of China’s 100 Best Publishing Houses) and publishes 14 publicly-distributed academic periodicals, of which 7 are national core Chinese periodicals.
The university press is the “Chinese Top 100 Press”, with first-class rank.
HNNU has provided society with over 500,000 graduates, many of whom are international students or Chinese students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
Its alumni are employed all over the world. Currently, it has a population of on-campus students as large as 40,000, of whom over 10,000 are postgraduate students
and 1,200 are long-term or short-term international students. An educational pattern featuring diversified training forms and levels has risen.
