Shandong Xiehe University (SXU) is a modern and comprehensive university accredited by the Ministry of Education China. It was first established in 1993 by Mr. Sheng Zhenwen and Ms. Wang Guiyun with the aspiration of training health care personnel. After nearly 30 years of hard working, SXU has currently developed into a well-equipped university with two campuses and 30000 students. SXU is located in Jinan, Shandong Province where the hometown of Confucius was born in ancient times, with rich historical and cultural deposits.

Faculty

SXU has an excellent faculty team including leading researchers and teachers with master’s or doctor’s degree. It has 1700 teachers, among which 6 doctoral supervisors, 15 master’s supervisors and 1 national expert with remarkable contributions. 2 teachers have received special government subsidies from the state council, 1 was awarded the title of national excellent teacher, In recent years, SXU has built 5 provincial teaching teams and 2 obtained the title of advanced individuals of teaching management at provincial level.

Students & Achievements

   The total number of students at SXU is over 30,000. With the concept of promoting teaching with scientific research, the university has undertaken 60 provincial research projects and won 43 research awards at provincial level including 1 first prize. Over the past three years, students of SXU have won 16 national awards including 2 first prizes in the nationwide skills and technical competition. At the provincial level, students obtained 55 awards including 9 first prizes. It is the most awarded private university in Shandong province.

Training Centers & Innovating Training Mode

SXU has 8 training centers including engineering, mechanical and electrical engineering, architecture, computer science, business administration, medical care, preschool education and educational technology centers with 258 labs. SXU focuses on the combination of teaching and research. SXU has created and followed a scientific model of cultivating students by reinforcing college-enterprise collaboration. Carrying out order-form training, SXU has cooperated with many companies such as Hisense, Lenovo, CNHTC and Aucma and set up order-form training classes such as Xiehe-Lenovo class, Xiehe-CNHTC numerical control class and Xiehe-Aucma class. It has also established a national off-campus education practice base with Aucma.

Exchange & Cooperation

SXU has constantly undertaken to offer strong internal and external exchange and cooperation programs. In mainland China, SXU has established cooperation with more than 30 prestigious universities such as Shanghai Jiaotong University, Lanzhou University, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Shandong University, Beijing Normal University, Shandong Normal University, Shandong Jianzhu University, Shandong Traditional Chinese Medicine University and Taishan Medical College. It has also built international cooperation with more than 45 universities from 13 countries including the USA, the UK, Australia, Japan, South Korea and Thailand. Various forms of cooperation have been introduced such as exchange programs, joint cultivation and joint research. Through these projects, SXU has introduced high-quality educational resources to broaden students’ horizon and expand the educational fields.

SXU has 6 academic schools offering 35 undergraduate degree programs and 30 junior college diploma programs, involving several academic fields including engineering, medicine, management, arts and education.
