济宁职业技术学院是2000年10月经山东省人民政府批准成立的全日制国办普通高等职业院校，坐落在儒家文化发源地孔孟之乡、礼仪之邦的山东省济宁市区。
Jining Polytechnic was set up in October, 2000 and is a full-time public higher vocational institute approved by People’s Government of Shandong Province. The institute is located in Jining, the birthplace of Confucian culture, which is also known as the hometown of Confucius & Mencius and the state of rites and rituals.
学院被中央文明委授予“全国文明单位”，获批全国首批职业院校文化素质教育基地，入选中央电视台职业院校百强巡礼；先后被省教育厅确立为山东省骨干示范性职业技术学院、山东省首批技能型人才培养特色名校、山东省首批教育信息化示范单位；荣获山东省政府文化创新奖、“全省职业教育先进单位”、“全省技能人才培养先进单位”，“全省职业教育科研先进单位”，院党委被中共山东省委授予“先进基层党组织”。
Jining Polytechnic has been awarded as the “National Civilized Unit” by the Central Spiritual Civilization Development Steering Commission, one of “the first Vocational College Cultural Quality Education Bases”, and was listed in the “Top 100 vocational college” by the China Central Television. It has successively won the honorary titles of Key and Exemplary Vocational and Technical College in Shandong Province, the Characteristic College of Skilled Talents Cultivation in Shandong Province, the Demonstration College of Education Informationization in Shandong Province, Advanced Institute for Vocational Education in Shandong Province, Advanced Institute for Skilled Talent Cultivation in Shandong Province, Advanced Institute for Scientific Research on Vocational Education in Shandong Province. It has ever been the winner of “Cultural Innovation Award of Shandong Provincial Government”. The Party Committee of Jining Polytechnic was awarded as Advanced Grass-roots Party Organization by he CPC Shandong Provincial Committee.
学院建筑面积31万平方米，固定资产总值6.1亿元，教学仪器设备值过亿元，全日制在校生15000余人，成人教育、远程开放教育在校生3000余人。学院设有机电工程系、汽车工程系、建筑工程系、电子信息工程系、生物与化学工程系、艺术与设计系、文化传播系＆公共事业管理系、经济管理系、外国语系＆旅游管理系、德育教学部、基础教学部等15个教学单位 ，现有教职工673人，专任教师468人，教授、副教授220人，博士、硕士395人。346名企业工程师、技师担任兼职教师。培育出1个国家级教学团队、7个省级教学团队、1个市级优秀科技创新团队，培养了1名享受国务特殊津贴的专家、1名全国劳动模范、6名省级教学名师、1名齐鲁文化英才、1名省级首席技师、1名省级突贡技师、8名省市有突出贡献的中青年专家。
The floor area is 310,000 square meters and the fixed assets are 610 million RMB with the teaching facilities taking up over 100 million RMB. Jining Polytechnic is composed of 15 departments and teaching sections, including Mechanical &Electrical Engineering Department, Automobile Engineering Department, Architectural Engineering Department, Electronic Information Engineering Department, Biological & Chemical Engineering Department, Art & Design Department, Culture Transmission & Public Affairs Administration Department, Economics & Management Department, Foreign Languages & Tourism Management Department, Basic Education Department, etc. with 15,000 full-time students and over 3000 Adult Diploma Education students. The teaching and administrative staff is 673, among whom there are 220 professors & associate professors, 395teachers with PHD Degrees or Master Degrees. The number of the full-time teachers is 468. There are more than 346 engineers and technicians from enterprises as the part-time teachers. The college cultivated 1 State-level Teaching Team, 7 Provincial-level Teaching Teams, 1Municipal Excellent Scientific and Technological Innovation Team, 1 professor entitled to the State Council Expert Allowance,, 1 national model worker, 6 Provincial-level Excellent Teachers, 1 Shandong Cultural Talent, 1 Provincial-level Chief Technician, 1 Provincial-level Technician with outstanding contribution, 8 Provincial-level or Municipal young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contribution.
学院建成了智能制造、汽车技术、计算机技术、智慧建造、“互联网+”商务等10个优势专业群，拥有1个国家级教学改革试点专业，2个央财支持专业，4个世界银行支持专业，1个省级教学改革试点专业，1个省级品牌专业群，2个省级示范专业，7个省级特色专业，10个省名校重点专业。建成3门国家级精品资源共享课程、3门国家级精品课程、43门省级精品及精品资源共享课程、168门院级精品课程；主持省高校教改立项课题21项，承担国家及省市级教科研项目196项，获得省市级教科研成果奖176项，承担技术服务项目144项，建成省级工程技术研发中心1个，市级公共研发平台6个及院级研究机构8个。获山东省教学成果一等奖2项；校企合作开发了186部校本教材和自编教材，主编了38部规划教材。学生在技能大赛等国赛、省赛获奖287项。
Adapting to local industrial development needs, the college has established 10 excellent specialty clusters which include Intelligent Manufacturing, Automobile Technology, Computer Technology, Intelligent Construction, Internet+ Business. Among them, we built 1 national teaching reform test major, 2 majors supported by Central Finance, 4 majors supported by the World Bank, 1 provincial teaching reform test major, 1 provincial brand specialty cluster, 2 provincial model majors, 7 provincial characteristic majors, 10 provincial famous college-level key construction majors. The college has already set up 3 National Quality Courses, 43 Provincial Quality Courses and 168 College-level Quality Courses. Jining Polytechnic has accomplished 21 provincial teaching reform subjects, 196 state-level &provincial research projects, 144 technical service projects and won 176 provincial & city-level prizes for research, 2 first prizes for Provincial Teaching Award.. The college has founded 1 provincial Engineering Technology Research and Development Center, 6 city-level Public Research & Development Platforms, 8 college-level research institutions. The college has already compiled 186 textbooks with enterprises, 38 national & provincial planning textbooks. The students have gained 287 awards in national & provincial vocational skill contests.
