Sanmenxia Polytechnic, located in Sanmenxia, a city hailed as A Pearl on the Yellow River, Cultural sites and Swan City, a state-run full-time college established under the approval of China Ministry of Education in 1999, is among the colleges with the longest history and qualification to conduct higher vocational education in Henan Province. 
 
The college covers an area of 2,550 mu，Swan Lake Campus covers an area of 1,400 mu，Lingfeng Lake Campus covers an area of 1,150 mu，with the campus building area of 380,000 square meters, boasting well-equipped campus facilities reasonable in layout and perfect in function. Sanmenxia Polytechnic has formed a specialty system oriented by engineering and coordinated with science, arts, economy, management, education and art, boasting 11 departments and 60-odd majors ranging from agriculture and forestry, biochemistry, manufacturing, civil engineering, finance and economics, tourism, material and energy, electronic information, cultural education, art design to medical nursing.     
 
 The college attaches great importance to international exchanges and cooperation and actively responds to the national "One Belt One Road" initiative, has established friendly cooperative relations with 16 foreign universities and conducted exchange activities with universities in Southeast Asia along the "Belt and Road" countries. In 2018, the college enrolled international students in China for the record with the Henan Provincial Department of Education. The college actively connects with Chinese-funded enterprises in countries along the Silk Road, to train professional and technical personnel for enterprises. In the same year, it recruited a group of Indonesian students to learn Chinese and skills in the college. The college has also carried out Sino-foreign cooperative education projects with universities in Germany, Russia, Thailand and other countries, and exchange students with Korean universities.

       三门峡职业技术学院坐落在被誉为“黄河明珠、文化圣地、天鹅之城”的三门峡市，是1999年经国家教育部批准成立的一所公办全日制高等专科院校，是河南省同类院校中办学历史最长、获得高职教育资格最早的院校之一。
       学院占地2550亩，天鹅湖校区占地1400亩，灵风湖校区占地1150亩，校舍建筑38万㎡，各项教学生活设施齐全，布局合理、功能完善。学院设有11个教学系（部）、60余个招生专业，涉及农林、生化、制造、土建、财经、旅游、材料能源、电子信息、文化教育、艺术设计和医学护理专业门类，已经形成以工科为主，融理、经、文、管、教育、艺术等协调发展的专业体系。
       学院高度重视国际交流合作，积极响应国家“一带一路”倡议，已经和16所国外院校建立了友好合作关系，并与东南亚“一带一路”沿线国家的高校开展交流活动。2018年，学院招收来华留学生在河南省教育厅备案。学院积极对接丝路沿线国家中资企业，为企业量身定制专业技术人才，同年，招收一批印度尼西亚籍留学生到校学习汉语和技能。学院还与德国、俄罗斯、泰国等国家高校开展了中外合作办学项目，与韩国高校开展了交换生项目等。
