Brief Introduction of Luohe Medical College
Luohe Medical College is located in the central region of China, Henan Province. Luohe City is the confluence of the Sha River and the Li River, two major tributaries of the Huai River; it is a charming ecological and livable city in the Central Plains. It is not only a famous international food city but a famous cultural city with Chinese characters. There are two campuses of Luohe Medical College: Yuanhui campus is located in the national 4A class Sha Li River scenic area; Adjacent to Xushen Cultural Park, a national 4A level cultural tourist attraction, Zhaoling Campus is an ideal place for students to study and cultivate their morality.
Founded in 1924, Luohe Medical College is a full-time public college approved by the Ministry of Education in May 2004. The College covers an area of more than 1540 mu, with a building area of more than 400,000 square meters. The total value of the equipment is nearly 200 million RMB yuan, and with 1.07 million volumes books. There are two disciplines of medicine and engineering which includes 16 specialties such as clinical medicine, stomatology and traditional Chinese medicine. There are more than 20,000 undergraduates, junior college students, international students and other students in the college. The College has 3 directly affiliated hospitals with more than 3500 beds. The First Affiliated Hospital is an "AAA" general hospital, the Second Affiliated Hospital is a Grade A general hospital featuring orthopedics, and the Third Affiliated Hospital is Luohe Rehabilitation Hospital and also Henan Zhongnan Rehabilitation Center for the Disabled.
Luohe Medical College is the first medical college in Henan Province to provide international students education. There are many medical specialties for international students to choose, such as clinical medicine, stomatology, rehabilitation therapy technology, nursing science and Chinese language courses. The College provides favorable accommodation and study environment for international students. There are double rooms and single rooms in international students' apartment building which is equipped with kitchen, laundry room, air conditioning, cable TV, 24 hours hot water and so on, which can meet the living needs of all kinds of students.
