Introduction to Guizhou Medical University

Guizhou Medical University (GMU) is located in the summer retreat, southwest of China--the Forest City of Guiyang. Founded in 1938, National Guiyang Medical College was one of the 9 national universities approved by Ministry of Education in China. GMU is registered on CMC, WHO AND ECFMG list, and is the only key medical university which runs undergraduate, graduate and Ph.D programs in Guizhou province, and ranked 3rd in all Guizhou Universities in 2019.  

With 80-year collaborative efforts on development, GMU has owned 2 campuses, covering an area of more than 1.3 million square meters. It has totally around 20000 full-time undergraduate and graduate students. There are over 1400 full-time teaching staffs in GMU, most of whom are with doctoral and master degrees and more than half of whom with professional titles.
