Zunyi Normal University is situated in Zunyi, a city famous for its culture and revolutionary history. Located in Xinpu University Town, Zunyi. It is an institution of centennial teacher-training tradition. Its history can be traced back to 1907 when Zunyi Primary Normal School was founded with the mission of "training teachers for education", which laid the foundation for modern teacher education in Zunyi. The Chinese Ministry of Education later upgraded it to be a full-time undergraduate University in 2001.
