凯里学院创建于1958年，是一所文、理、工、艺等学科齐全的综合性公办普通院校。目前学校设15个教学分院，50个本科专业，有教职工914人，全日制在校生11400人。凯里学院从1992年开始招收外国留学生，目前有高级语言进修生、短期留学生、本科生等155人，分别来自德国、韩国、泰国、老挝、印尼、柬埔寨等国家。

       凯里学院位于贵州省东南部，亚热带润湿季风气候，冬无严寒，夏无酷暑，四季分明，雨水充沛，立体气候明显，年平均气温14.6-18.5℃，特别适合人类居住和学习。凯里学院校园环境优美、景色宜人，人文景观遍布，文化气息浓厚，为广大师生提供了良好的学习、工作和生活环境。

       学校坚持开放办学，与国内外大学如杭州师范大学、浙江工业大学、同济大学、北京建筑大学、西南民族大学、济南大学、美国西来大学、泰国苏南拉里理工大学、韩国又松大学等国外高校建立了合作关系。 
 

Kaili University, founded in 1958, is a comprehensive public university which include art, science, and technology. There are 15 schools, 50 undergraduate majors, 914 faculty and 11400 full-time students. Kaili University has been recruiting international students since 1992, including 155 advanced language learners, short-term students and undergraduates who are from Germany, South Korea, Thailand, Laos，Indonesia，Cambodia and other countries.

Kaili University is located in the southeastern part of Guizhou province. Kaili has a temperate climate with four distinct seasons: spring, summer, fall and winter. The rain is abundant and the annual average temperature is 14.6-18.5 degrees, which is especially suitable for human habitation and study.  

Kaili University insists on opening to the outside world and has cooperation with universities home and abroad such as Hangzhou Normal University, Zhejiang University of Technology, Tongji University, Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, southwest university for Nationalities, Jinan University,  University of the West in the United States, Suranaree University of Technology in Thailand , Woosong University in South Korea，etc.
