LIUZHOU CITY VOCATIONAL COLLEGE
Located in Liuzhou, a famous national, historical and cultural city with unique landscape and the reputation of "Excellent Tourism City in China", Liuzhou City Vocational College (hereinafter referred to as LCVC) is a state-run vocational college with 80 years of history.LCVC covers an area of 67 hectares. At present, there are more than 17000 full-time students and 507 international students in LCVC.
LCVC has 10 teaching departments and teaching units such as Department of Mechatronics and Automobile Engineering, Department of Architecture and Art Design, Department of Teacher Education, Department of Business and Management, Department of Information Technology, School of International Education, Luzhai Campus and Open College. There are more than 40 “3-year college diploma”majors, including Electric Automation Technology, Automobile Inspection and Maintenance, Construction Engineering Technology, Preschool Education, Elementary Education, Hotel Management, and Big Data Technology and Application.
LCVC has 1 national-level key major and 5 provincial demonstrative majors with advanced teaching equipment and training environment in the fields of industrial robots, automobile inspection and maintenance, automobile marketing, construction BIM, construction engineering, industrial big data, drone technology, e-commerce, international trade, tourism and hotel management, art and media, preschool education. Besides, LCVC has established close relationship with large enterprises such as SAIC-GM-Wuling Co.,Ltd.,Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Co.,Ltd. and Guangxi Construction Engineering Group to jointly cultivate talents.
Since 2004, LCVC has established friendly and cooperative relations with more than 30 colleges from the United States, Italy, the Philippines, Indonesia, and has enrolled and cultivated more than 1600 international students from nearly 40 countries, including Indonesia, Thailand, Laos, the United States, the United Kingdom, South Korea, Hungary, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan. In 2019, the number of international students reached 507, making LCVC the first vocational college to enrol linternational students and has the largest number of international students in Liuzhou, even in Guangxi. As the first vocational college in Guangxi that has set up a branch abroad, LCVC established LCVC-Pelita Campus and China-Indonesia SGMW Automobile College in Indonesia. Besides, LCVC cooperates with the Ministry of Education of Laos to cultivate 60 diploma students every year and has established China-Laos Tea Art Talent Training Base. In addition, LCVC regularly conducts exchange programs with the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa (PLMun)in the Philippines. Aiming at serving the local industries to go global, LCVC carries out multi-level and all-round international exchanges and talent training programs and has obtained the awards of China's Top 50 Influential International Vocational College for two consecutive years.
